Mission - The mission of Rio is to make true disciples and increase the capacity of the global Church of Jesus Christ.
Vision - The vision of Rio is to Cultivate relationships with local Panamanian believers in poor and marginalized communities. Connect like minded groups with these visionaries to provide resources and encouragement. Change the worldview of both sides in the process as we bring vision to life, build the church, and unlock discipleship.
Goals - The goals of Rio include: Building the physical church through
through joint projects with locals and helping meet material needs together such as clean water, food availability, access in the form of bridges and transportation, and sustainable energy in communities that are off the grid. Evangelism, pastor training, discipleship seminars, and relationship building are priorities of Rio. We look to accomplish these goals through short term missions trips and long term sustainable partnerships.

Rio Missions Panama
QUICK HISTORY!
RIO, a registered 501(c) (3) in the US and Panama, was founded in 2004 by Daniel and Jessica Cotton, on the principle of building the global church by showing the love of Jesus through faith and action. The Bible is clear that helping to provide for the spiritual and physical needs of others is evidence of true belief.
With over 10 years of living and cultivating relationships on the isthmus of Panama, Rio has vast experience connecting international partners with local visionaries, providing opportunities for change. Our organization works to form attainable goals, and our track record of completed projects testifies to our passion for transformation. We have seen God work through Rio in powerful ways and we have accomplished much in Jesus name.
UNIQUE APPROACH - We aim to use the professional experience and knowledge base of our partners to solve obstacles that inhibit local vision. Engineering, education, alternative energy, nutrition, accounting, construction, etc. are all examples of fields of expertise that we have applied to the mission field.
Venture off the beaten path and partner with us to bring resources through relationship to equip poor and marginalized local champions. Come and use your hands to work alongside local visionaries and be a part of bringing their dreams to life. The experience will sharpen you, strengthen your faith, and change you forever!
